It is not ‘an’ image, but ‘the’ image of empowerment by the Holy Spirit. It is a symbol of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in man. The anointed ones are also referred to as sons of oil, the ones with a shining countenance, glowing ones, bright ones and “God’s great ones”. The question that remains is, of course, what it should express?"
