Is Anointing Oil meant for the last rites?

 

"It was a Jewish custom to Anoint the bodies of the deceased. I was not able to find any evidence that the first Churches did that as well, but since they did fully adopt the custom of using Anointing Oil, we have to assume that they did it as well. However, the ‘last rites’ is something that people know from the Catholic church, which are religious man made customs, without any divine value. These ‘last rites’ have done more harm than good to the people of God. The only place in the Word of God where a man was Anointed right before His death, was the place where Mary Anointed Jesus. It was a very prophetic deed and very specific."
